Dr. Gwenda Plummer is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Life, Marriage, and Executive Coach, and Certified Relationship Educator. Through counseling, Gwenda desires to help individuals and families find healing from past pain, develop strengthened relationships, and discover tools to lead healthier lives. A relevant and informed life enrichment speaker, Gwenda currently speaks on relationships, marriage, mental health, and spiritual topics in a variety of settings. Gwenda believes in the power of strong marriages and families and loves helping others on the journey of life!
Gwenda holds a Doctoral Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling and a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling. Her rich experience includes counseling in mental health clinics, universities, and addiction recovery facilities; providing relationship education with a Healthy Marriage Initiative Grant; and serving as a representative to the Springfield Community Partnership of the Ozark's Alcohol Task Force Higher Education Committee. She holds certification in BASIC's (Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students); PREP (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program); PICK (How to Pick a Partner - How to Avoid Marrying a Jerk/Jerkette); Prepare-Enrich; and Taylor Johnson. Her professional memberships include the American Association of Christian Counselors, the International Christian Coaching Association, and Kappa Delta Chi Honor Society. Before moving to the St. Louis area two years ago, Gwenda provided therapy and managed a counseling practice in Springfield, Missouri.
